Turistgården is situated on Dalsland’s canal, one of Sweden’s most beautiful water ways. The canal runs through the center of Töcksfors and offer boating and canoeing worth longing for. The closeness to the Norwegian border and the E18 makes for easy access.

We offer a charming accommodation in personally styled rooms and cottages, with or without en suite bathrooms. We also have cozy cottages, four bed rooms and an exclusive suite with a jacuzzi and a balcony overlooking the lake Töck and the canal.

Accommodation

We offer a variety of accommodation in three different buildings, beautifully situated on the brink of the canal. All rooms have wifi and tv. Your pet is welcome too.

To do

Turistgårdens lush surroundings, and gourmet food and shopping within walking distance makes it the perfect stop on your vacation. During the summer you can visit small cafés and artists open their studios for visitors or you can visit Töcksfors shoppingcentre. If you want more action the Norwegian capital, Oslo, with its bustling night life and many theatres, is within driving distance.

Our history

Turistgården opened in 1999, but the main building is considerably older – it was built in 1828 – and has served as both parish cottage, school, library, workshop and recreation center. The building, with its four rooms and fifteen beds, went through a complete renovation before opening. Today we have twentyfive rooms and nine cottages.

We want for every guest to find an accommodation befitting their desires – a small, cozy cottage, double room, family room or suite. Make your own breakfast and bring your own linnen – or breakfast buffé and ready made beds – you’re welcome to choose.
